cute little pom pom we made over Easter for you to see!


I just make them as very basic yellow pom poms the children enjoy them ...I like the simplicity of this activity I am sure there are more real life chicks out there...but we don't care!!


This is how you make a pom pom for the very beginners:




Cut some cereal box in discs you need two discs and start tying wool around like so:

In and out and through the hole and around and around we go!

wrap around the wool

When you wrapped enough wool around and through the hole until there is no more hole it's time to cut. Separate the wool a bit at the edge and cut in between the two cardboard discs all around

After you cut all around you need a bit of wool/yarn/string to secure the centre of the pom pom

Then it's time to rip the discs and pull them out

You have a pom pom now...you may want to trim it a bit...

Now you have a woolly ball which is actually a chick!
