Spring Gathering!

We at Acorns had an amazing Spring Gathering!

Thank you all for coming! We were many, many, with plenty of food, birthday cakes and the chocolate eggs that the Easter bunnies dropped along our nature trail, thank you bunnies.
Thank you children, thank you for sharing, playing, feeding the crocodiles, chopping wood, making fairy houses, painting, making dens, galloping on ponies, jumping on piles of leaves, running away when the wolf said it was dinner time, climbing trees, hiding behind trees, putting out fires with your (log) fire engines...etc...etc...

It was a challenge to keep so many of us together with the usual session rhythm, so it felt a bit overwhelming, perhaps more like a party!

It was nice to see some children being so at home in our 'corner' of the woods, it was nice to meet new people and see the old familes with older children and new babies.

I hope to see you all again soon, have a Happy - hoppy Easter!

You are invited to come to the next Acorns Easter Holiday drop in sessions.

Spring Circle for little children

A collection of verses and songs for ring time

Spring is coming, spring is coming: birdies build your nest!

Weave together straw and feather, doing each your best!

Spring is coming, spring is coming: flowers are coming too,

Pansies lilies, daffodillies,

All are coming through!

Spring is coming, spring is coming,

All around is fair!

Shimmer, quiver on the river

Joy is everywhere!

Wake up, wake up, all you little children,
Sunlight, sky bright,

Spring is coming now

Gusty March winds blowing
Daffodils a blowing,
Birds sing, bells ring,
There’s blossom on the bough.
                        ~~~
Piper, piper , play your happy music!
Singing, singing, we will follow on.
Dancing through the daytime
Lead us to the May time
Ding dong-Spring song, Winter ‘s past and gone!
In and out the dusty bluebells,
In and out the dusty bluebells,
Who will be my partner?
Tippy-tappy tippy-tappy
On my shoulder..............
Tippy-tappy tippy-tappy
On my shoulder..............
Tippy-tappy tippy-tappy
On my shoulder..............
You will be my partner.
( Also Pit-a-pat on your shoulder…different version!)
Sleepy Bunnies
See the little bunnies sleeping ‘till is nearly noon…
Shall we wake them with a merry tune?
Oh so sweet- Are they ill? Wake up soon!
Hop
little bunnies hop, hop, hop,
Hop
little bunnies hop, hop, hop
Ten little fairies stand up straight
Ten little fairies make a gate
Ten little fairies bow to the King
Ten little fairies make a ring
Ten little fairies dance and play
Ten little fairies fly away ( hide away)
The silver raindrops patter upon the earth today
Tip tap, their knock is gentle and this is what they say
Put on your rainbow dresses as Spring is here once more!
An early Spring puppet play
A simple puppet play I do at parent and child sessions
I use simple objects like pine cones for trees and green dark green and light green scarves for grass/earth and blue scarf for sky
some wooden animals; Mother Earth puppet; some root and flower children – felt figures
bits of bark, twigs, pussy willow; some flowers...any nature finding will do!
Silk scarves in white for snow, pink, orange and yellow; little magic wool fairies could be used too.
The Story of the Root Children
By Sibylle Von Olfers
Under the ground, deep in the earth among the roots of the trees, the little root-children were fast asleep all winter long. They felt nothing of the biting wind, the cold snow or the stinging hailstorms. They slept peacefully in their warm burrows. They were dreaming of the sunshine in which they had played all through the summer. And what wonderful dreams they were!
When at last winter came to an end and the sun began to melt the snow, Mother Earth came along with her candle to wake them up again.
“Wake up, children,” she called kindly. ”Time to get up now! You’ve slept long enough. Spring is coming and there’s work to be done. I’ve brought you scissors, needles and thread and pieces of cloth so that you can all make new clothes. Wake up! As soon as you’re ready, I’ll unlock and open the doors up to the ground.”
The children yawned and stretched. Then they jumped up merrily. Hurray, spring is coming! Mother Earth had pieces of lovely coloured cloth in her basket. Each of the root-children chose her own colour to make a dress. The Daffodil chose a bright yellow cloth, the wild rose a soft pink, and the poppy a bright orange. Then they sat down in a cosy circle and began to work busily. They cut, they sewed and pressed until everything fitted exactly. And, as they worked, they sang all the spring songs that they knew.
(Sing second verse of “Spring is Coming”): Spring is coming, Spring is coming, flowers are coming too, poppies, roses, daffodillies, all are coming through! All are coming through!
As soon as they as they had finished making their new dresses, they went up to Mother Earth in a long procession. Mother Earth looked over her spectacles in surprise when she saw the root-children coming so soon.
“Well, well, you have been quick,” she exclaimed, ” and how nice it all looks!”
Up above ground, the warm sun was already bringing out the new green leaves on the trees.
At last it was really springtime! Mother Earth opened the door. Then out into the lovely spring sunshine came a procession of root-children with their blades of grass and flowers.
Radiant Sun from his throne in the sky
Looked down on earth where sleeping seeds lie
And thought to himself, "I think it's time
For flower babies to wake up and play."
So with his rays of gold he knocked and knocked
At each and every flower family's door,
"Wake up! Wake up!" he chuckled with glee,
"Time to wake up and colour the earth's floor!"
The snowdrops were first, then crocus and rosies,
Daffodils, violets and all sorts of posies
Yawning and stretching under radiant sun,
Yes, all flowers create springtime fun!
Welcome Spring - Circle time Verses For Spring
Where are the froggies when the north winds blow?
We cannot see them in the ice and snow.
Deep, deep down in the mud they lie,
froggies sleeping with tight-closed eyes.
When the warm spring sun comes out,
froggies wake and jump about.
Oh, how happy they will be,
a springtime world they will see.
Where are the turtles when the north winds blow?
We cannot see them in the ice and snow.
Deep, deep down in the mud they lie,
turtles sleeping with tight-closed eyes.
When the warm spring sun comes out,
turtles wake and crawl about.
Oh, how happy they will be,
a springtime world they will see.
Where are the bears when the north winds blow?
We cannot see them in the ice and snow.
Deep, deep down in a cave they lie,
baby bears sleeping with tight-closed eyes.
When the warm spring sun comes out,
bear cubs wake and run about.
Oh, how happy they will be,
a springtime world they will see.
Where are the squirrels when the north winds blow?
We cannot see them in the ice and snow.
Cracking nuts in a hollow tree,
squirrels are cozy as cozy can be.
When the warm spring sun comes out,
squirrels wake and jump about.
Oh, how happy they will be,
a springtime world they will see.
* * * * * * * *
A little seed for me to sow.
A little earth to make it grow.
A little hole, a little pat,
a little wish, and that is that.
A little sun, a little shower,
a little while, and then a flower.
* * * * * * * *
Spring is here, said the bumble bee
How do you know, said the old oak tree
I see yellow daffodils
Dancing with the fairies on the windy hills.
* * * * * * * *
Pitter, patter raindrops,
falling on the treetops,
falling down on garden beds,
wetting all the children¹s heads.
Pitter, patter raindrops,
falling on the treetops.
* * * * * * * *
Now the sky has darkened,
and the rain is sprinkling down.
Shall we hide beneath a tree,
or run back home to town?
No! We like the rain!
* * * * * * * *
VERSE: WALKING:
Splish, splash, splish, splash
here's how we walk in the rain.
Splish, splash, splish, splash
here¹s how we walk in the rain.
And splash -we run through the puddles.
And splosh - we skip in the rain.
And splish - we turn round the corner
until we come home again!
* * * * * * * *
And now the rain is over
the sky is bright and blue,
and yonder in the meadow,
the sheep are happy too.
* * * * * * * *
FINGERPLAY:
This is a house for a robin
(make a nest with hands)
This is a hive for a bee
(two fists together to make a hive)
This is a hole for a bunny
(thumbs and pointers on both hands to make hole)
And this is a house for me!
(Arms and hands form roof overhead)
* * * * * * * *
In our Springtime garden, rosy morning glow,
Sunshine falling, calling, falling,
seeds are waking so.
* * * * * * * *
Through the meadow let us walk,
and see what wonders spring has brought.
Skipping, skipping, let us go,
as the breeze blows to and fro.
But watch your step and look where you go!
Here is a creature tiny and slow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caterpillar, caterpillar you are such a pretty sight.
Caterpillar, caterpillar green and yellow, black and white.
Take care what you do, robins are a watching you.
Take care what you do, robins are a watching you.
Caterpillar, caterpillar creep away and hide you soon.
Caterpillar, caterpillar spin yourself a warm cocoon.
Dark and silent lie, till you are a butterfly.
Dark and silent lie, till you are a butterfly.

* * * * * * * *

Flutter, flutter butterfly
Floating in the springtime sky
Floating by for all to see
Floating by so merrily

Come bright butterfly close to me.
Your beautiful wings I should like to see.
You fly like a bird,
you sip like a bee,
but you're really a flower on the wind set free.

Look high and low and you will see,
the butterfly is not alone in this meadow.

Hop, said the grasshopper, ³hop, hop, hop!
The summer is coming and I can¹t stop.
All winter long I lay asleep,
and the winter seemed it would never, never end,
but an April raindrop fell on my nose,
and woke me up from my repose,
and now it's time to have a little peek,
and see if I can find a little friend.
Here comes a honey bee...²

Hum, said the honey bee, ³hum, hum, hum!
Fresh sweet clover field here I come!
All winter long I lay asleep,
and the winter seemed it would never, never end,
but an April raindrop fell on my nose,
and woke me up from my repose,
and now it's time to have a little peek,
and see if I can find a little friend.
Here comes a squirrel now...²

Scurry, said the squirrel and waved her tail
like a little brown ship with a furry furry sail.
All winter long I lay asleep,
and the winter seemed it would never, never end,
but an April raindrop fell on my nose,
and woke me up from my repose,
and now it's time to have a little peek,
and see if I can find a little friend.
Here comes a rabbit now...²

Jump, said the rabbit with a jump, jump, jump,
I must find a fat lettuce to make me plump!
All winter long I lay asleep,
and the winter seemed it would never, never end,
but an April raindrop fell on my nose,
and woke me up from my repose,
and now it's time to have a little peek,
and see if I can find a little friend.
Here comes a grasshopper...

VERSE: WALKING:
I see across the meadow is a farmer working, sturdy and strong,
with his sack of seeds he strides along;
Let's go work with him in the field today.
It's time to sow our seed.

* * * * * * * *

SONG: WALKING:
Heigh ho, heigh ho, the farmer doth sow.
Heigh ho, heigh ho, the farmer doth sow.
The birds are a singing,
the little seeds springing,
Heigh ho, heigh ho, the farmer doth sow

Little brown seeds so small and round,
Are sleeping quietly underground.
Down come the raindrops
sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle.
Out comes the rainbow,
twinkle, twinkle, twinkle.
Little brown seeds way down below,
Up through the earth they grow, grow, grow.
Little green leaves come one by one.
They hold up their heads and look at the sun.

* * * * * * * *

SONG: WALKING:
Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow,
Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow,
Can you or I or anyone know
How oats, peas, beans, and barley grow?

First the farmer sows his seed,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:
Next the farmer waters the seed,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:
Next the farmer hoes the weeds,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:
Last the farmer harvests his seed,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:

FINGERPLAYS:

Five little peas in a pea pod pressed.
One grew, two grew, and so did all the rest.
They grew and they grew and they did not stop,
until one day, the pod went POP!

* * * * * * * *

This is my wee garden plot.
I'll rake it with care and it will grow a lot!
Peas and carrots and salad from seeds.
I'll plant and water and pull out the weeds.
The sun will shine and bathe my garden in light,
all the plants will be happy and taste just right.
Here, try some, have a bite!

* * * * * * *

Have you ever seen a rainbow
On a sunny springtime day,
After it's been raining
In the misty month of May?
Out from the clouds it will appear,
And then it's gone away.
Have you ever seen a rainbow
On a sunny springtime day?

* * * * * * * *

Spring is here, said the bumble bee
How do you know, said the old oak tree
I see yellow daffodils
Dancing with the fairies on the windy hills.
Spring is coming spring is coming
flowers are waking too
daisies, lilies, daffodillies
all are breaking through! All are breaking through!

* * * * * * * *

Cherry Blossoms
Little cherry blossom buds
Closed up oh, so tight!
See them bursting into bloom,
Colored pink and white.

Along comes the spring breeze,
Blowing all around,
And down fall the petals,
Twirling to the ground.

* * * * * * * *

Here we go, to and fro,
over the rainbow bridge we go.
Treading softly, treading slow,
over the rainbow bridge we go.
Gathering light from sun and star,
gathering light from heaven afar,
Down to earth all things to greet,
sharing the light with all we meet.
Here we go, to and fro,
over the rainbow bridge we go.
Treading softly, treading slow,
over the rainbow bridge we go.

* * * * * * * * * *

Come golden butterfly, close to me,
Your beautiful golden wings, I should like to see.
You fly like a bird, you sip like a bee,
But you're really a flower the wind has set free.

* * * * * * * * * *

Two little clouds one summer's day
Went flying through the sky.
They went so fast they bumped their heads,
And both began to cry.
Old Father Sun looked out and said,
Oh, never mind my dears,
I'll send my little fairy folk
To dry your falling tears.
One fairy came in violet,
And one in indigo,
In blue, green, yellow, orange, red,
They made a pretty row.
They wiped the clouds tears all away,
And then out from the sky,
Upon a line the sunbeams made,
They hung their gowns to dry.

* * * * * * * * * *

Radiant Sun from his throne in the sky
Looked down on earth where sleeping seeds lie
And thought to himself, "I think it's time
For flower babies to wake up and play."
So with his rays of gold he knocked and knocked
At each and every flower family's door,
"Wake up! Wake up!" he chuckled with glee,
"Time to wake up and colour the earth's floor!"
The snowdrops were first, then crocus and rosies,
Daffodils, violets and all sorts of posies
Yawning and stretching under radiant sun,
Yes, all flowers create springtime fun!

* * * * * * * *

Late Spring- Summer ring time:

In the summer garden
Where we singing go
Light is glowing, flowing, glowing
White the roses grow.
(1)

"We're busy, busy, busy," said the bees.
"We don't have time for supper or for tea.
It takes us hours and hours,
To visit all these flowers."(2)

There was a little rose in a garden bed
Hey-ho, Let the wind blow
And green was her frock
And her petals were red
Hey-ho, Let the winds blow -o
(3).

Barely bigger than your thumb
See it hover, hear it hum
With beating wings so fast they're blurred
This whirring, whizzing little bird.

Dance and sing the summer bells now ring
There's laughter on the hills
The daisy shows its frills

Dance and sing, be welcome summer king.
Dance and sing the summer bells now ring
The shepherd pipes all day
The lambkin frisks and plays

Dance and sing, be welcome summer king.(4)
Now off to the workshop we must go
Come along children, don't be slow.

Saw, saw, saw away. Saw the boards and saw the timbers.
Saw, saw, saw away. We will build a boat today.
Plane, plane, plane the wood. See the curly shavings fall.
Plane, plane, plane the wood. We will build a boat today.
Hammer, hammer, hammer. Nails will hold the boards together.
Hammer, hammer, hammer. We will build a boat today.Sand, sand, sand the wood. Sand it smooth and sand it good.
Sand, sand, sand the wood. We will build a boat today.
Paint, paint, paint the wood. Paint it blue and paint it gold.

Paint, paint, paint the wood. We will build a boat today.
Now let's pull our boat down to the water.
Heave, ho, heave, ho.

My little ship is sailing, sailing on the sea
I open up my nets and I catch some fish you see.
My little ship is sailing, sailing on the sea
I open up my nets and I set the fishes free.
                                                                                Spread, spread your net
Gently in the sea
Gathering, gathering, gathering, gathering
Fish for you and me.
(5)

This is my boat, my golden boat that sails on the silvery sea.
These are the oars of ivory white, that lift and dip, that lift and dip.
These are the crew, the ten little sailors, that take the oars of ivory white
That lift and dip, that lift and dip
That move the boat, the golden boat, over the silvery sea.

There are big waves and little waves
Green waves and blue.
Waves that rise up like a great water wall
Waves that just swell and don't even fall.
There are waves that splash
And waves that crash.

My little ship is sailing, sailing on the sea
It takes me far away, while the wind it blows so free.
My little ship is sailing, sailing on the sea.
It brings me home again, home again for me.

Zum, zum, zum;
Listen to the bee's song,
Hum, hum, hum.
The big bees zum,
And the little bees hum
Zum, zum, zum, zum, zum
Hum,hum,hum.

"I'm busy, busy, busy," said the bee.
"I won't be home for supper, or for tea.
It takes hours and hours
To visit all the flowers.
I'm busy, busy, busy," said the bee.
Little bees work very hard
Making golden honey
Taking nectar from the flowers,
When the days are sunny.

What do you suppose?
A bee sat on my nose!
Then what do you think?
He gave me a wink
And said "I beg your pardon,
I thought you were the garden!"

Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you

Deep peace of the sleeping stones to you
Deep peace of the wandering wind to you
Deep peace of the flock of stars to you
Deep peace, deep peace.

Deep peace of the eastern wind to you
Deep peace of the western wind to you
Deep peace of the northern wind to you
Blue wind of the south to you

Pure red of the whirling flame to you
Pure white of the silver moon to you
Pure green of the emerald grass to you
Deep peace, deep peace

Easter crafts- dyed eggs

I would like to share this with you, copied and pasted from:
http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=3435338755252173491#editor/target=post;postID=1973133765326169989

Natural Dyed Easter Eggs

“I decided to try my hand at making Easter Eggs using only natural ingredients this year. I pulled food and spices out of the cabinet and fridge and got busy trying different things to see what works and what doesn’t.
I remember my mom and grandma using red onion skins to dye eggs when I was child, but I don’t remember how they dyed the eggs using them. A little research and I had an idea of how to go about dyeing the eggs using natural ingredients.” -from “Natural Dyed Easter Eggs”

Twinkle’s Kitchen: All-Natural Easter Egg Dye Recipe

Dyeing eggs for the family Easter egg hunt was always a big event. Dozens of eggs were boiled and prepared by my grandmother the day before her horde of wild grandchildren arrived ready to claim their dozen eggs to color.
And like many others, Paas was our traditional method of egg dyeing.
This year I started something new in our house that falls more inline with my DIY-style living agenda. And you can do it, too.
I wanted to create my own dyes. I consulted a few friends, a few websites and by trial and error discovered some great ways to make all-natural color dyes.
Not only are these dyes better for my family than the artificial ones, they are also more fun to create. It turned out to be a great lesson in science and a wonderful creative project for the kids who discovered which plants or items created the best colors. I hope this becomes our new family tradition. -from “Twinkle’s Kitchen: All-Natural Easter Egg Dye Recipe”

Natural Easter Egg Dyes

“Appreciate the vivid colors and natural beauty of fruits, vegetables and spices: dye your Easter eggs with everyday foods rather than boxes of chemical colorings. This is a great family project and learning experience. Though it will take a little more planning than your basic Easter egg dye box, I think you will find the extra time well worth it. Even though I’m a grown-up, I felt a child-like excitement watching the eggs turn colors in bowls of cabbage, spinach, blueberries and more!
With some of the dyes, it is best to boil the eggs with the natural substance to achieve the most vibrant color. I have indicated these below with an asterisk. With others, you can hard-boil the eggs first and then soak them in the respective natural dye.
For more vibrant colors, place the sealed containers of natural dyes in the refrigerator and let the cooked eggs soak overnight. Adding vinegar to the boiling water will also help make the colors brighter. (One exception is with onion skins; do not add vinegar to the onion skins.) If you want shiny eggs, rub them with some vegetable oil once the dye is dry.” -from “Natural Easter Egg Dyes – Itsy Bitsy Foodies”

I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly

I flit, I float
I fleetly flee, I fly...

No, I am not saying goodbye...well...perhaps I am! Maybe I should gather some positive energy and get the courage to say goodbye to my past, get all the strength I have to shout at the top of my voice:
 -'Go, bugger off and stop haunting me!'-

That's it...it is possibly the detox herbs I am taking, the spring greens I am eating, the nettle tea I am drinking...and while my liver is restoring at night, my brain comes up with these memories and images from the past...I wake up at night feeling a bit stirred and shaken...

So now it is time to reflect as I write...
I do use this blog as a diary to look back at things we did in the past, places I've been, things I've seen, but also I use this blog as a therapy; i find writing down quite a healing process. I re read the things I write and relfect. I was told too much thinking is perhaps not that good!

I believe in reflection and doing something to mirror the thoughts as a healing process. The most obvious one is going for a long walk, which I love doing. When I do painting is good too, and I don't have a lot of time doing this, or singing...
All these activities have something in common apart from being creative:they let my mind relax and temporarily erase memories and worries, past present and future, connecting with a hidden, deeper self, letting the feelings express...

So I am off to do some of that just now!

Sitting on a bench in the park

A tiny drop in the ocean
Yet, the whole world,
The Whole Wide World
In my body
Each cell with the imprint
Of past, present and future
Each organ resonating
The Universal vibrations

I have searched for an answer
When the sun kissed my face
This afternoon

I erase all my gained knowledge
through experience and books
Images and sensations haunting me
I am not what I feel I wish to be
I am not what I wish I feel I want to be
I am not what I want to feel and I wish
I wish, I wish

Going through a fast speed vortex
Into the deep black hole
This negative space
Bursting and throwing outwards
Shooting upwards
Towards the light
Searching for something good
The divine,
The sublime,
The good against the evil
Battle with my thoughts
Until, exhausted, I give in to pain
Leaving everything suspended,
Like droplets in the air
Through the mist
I go home
Worn out

The sacred in my life

Nourish my Soul

Words... a shower of words,
 through my brain and out again
 and the magic happened...
words  floating around me
pen in my hand,
pen on paper:
words that came from beyond the rainbow,
 meanings that came from the centre of the Universe
and thoughts that came from other from other realms....
and questions....

What is Sacred Space?
What is Home-making?
What is Beauty, Warmth,
Nourishment?

Dreams of deep sleep
While deeply drinking in
The Soul of Things
The Soul,
A breath of Living Spirit
Existing for the purpose
Of recognizing The Eternal

Nourishing my soul
needing Truth, Goodness and Love

Beauty I create
in Life
I flow,
I grow

I want to create, love, nourish, grow, change...

Home
is what I  know,
what I am,
what I make,
what I have.

Home is my  Soul

I Create my environment
I am an Artist
I am

What is Mine
Breath in the Sun
Being at One
With the Divine

All around Me
And within Me

Warmth and Beauty

Home
is what we know,
what we are,
what we make,
what we have.

Home is

our Soul
I think I like my ability to be at home in different places which are not home, so to speak, but could be a regular hang out, the local library or cafe, for example...
I like my house, but also like to feel cosy and 'at home' in my favourite local places such as Hand Made Food, Blackheath Village- it is only an example, I am not that regular there, so it feels like a treat when I take my daughter there for a meal!She likes to take her opportunity catch up with homework wherever we go!

At home, things are familiar and it has always been the place to be, but, on the other hand I do like to go out and about and be inspired by other places.

I like to bring nature in from outside so my shelves and nature table have always the seasonal flowers to set the mood and reflect what we have around us...

Home Sweet Home

Home that nourishes
home that makes us feel safe
home that is in my memories

Equally, our home could be the outdoors, mother nature is everywhere and we embrace in the home and in the gardens/parks...open spaces and special spots...it could be Greenwich Park, Manor House gardens or Oxleas Woods...

Check out this lovely blog, my latest discovery,
such amazing photography and words spoken from the heart :

Sacred Space

Moments
Precious moments
Little drops
Suspended in Time and Space

Time can be still
When imprinted
In my memory
For me to find
Again and again
I hold the moments
I create the moment
I create Time

Nourishment
Truth
Goodness
Love

Sense of Life
Sense of Movement
Balance
Warmth
Word
Thought
Ego

These are our Seven Senses
We need to nourish
Home...
What is Home?
I am at home in this place
My place of Birth
Yet, never actually lived there
Only visited
Yet
I am perfectly at home
in Bergamo

Home is what I create and what I bring with me
My touch
What I know
How I am
I can create home anywhere I like!
At Church of Ascension I set up for the Parent and Child group Session
The first thing is to make children and parents feel at home

A homely atmosphere is more than just pink cloths
Is a place where one feels nourished
It's a place of beauty

each one of us is touched
a sensorial journey

Beauty
Art
Colour
Environment
Joy
Love
Respect
Wonder
Life
Movement
Flow
Space
Sound
Scent
Feeling

Moments
Precious moments
Little drops
Suspended in Time and Space

Time can be still
When imprinted
In my memory
For me to find
Again and again
I hold the moments
I create the moment
I create Time

Create time for making things just for the sake of making them!
Hand work for decoration is part of my life
I don't have to make things only because they are useful!

Element of surprise is vital in everyday life
celebration mark the annual rhythms
Seasons are marked with what we bring inside our homes on our nature tables and colours displayed in the house
The weather and nature outside and our moods...
The mood we bring home and create with colours...this is my bedroom...I like water/sea colours...

Now Spring colours come inside the house too...

A wall covered in wool in a tapestry shop in Rome, near Piazza navona...amazing shower of colours

Images that stay in our memory...but what about the mood and the smell of that shop?

CLARITY
Seeing
What I cannot see
Yet
Having a feeling
Of the moment

Pausing

Reflecting
Like colours, like light
On water
Fluid Thoughts
Where Time
is a Space
With the Whole
Contained
Inside and Out

Comes the picture
As in a dream
Where Reality
Is Clarity

Clarity
Clear Thinking
Light on Shadow
